DEACON MINISTRY

This is a select group of men “of good repute, full of the Spirit and wisdom” (Acts 6:13). The deacons assist the pastor in spiritual matters pertaining to the church. They are essentially responsible for the visitation of the sick, serving of the Lord’s Supper and assistance in matters that aid the smooth operation of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

TRUSTEE MINISTRY

Trustees are customarily elected by the church. Among the major duties of the Trustees are:

  1. Maintaining or improving the church property.
  2. Advising the church relative to major repairs or improvement.
  3. Accounting for all of the church’s finances.

USHER MINISTRY

The purpose of the ushers is to serve as doorkeepers in the “house of the Lord”. They have various duties to perform which include:

  1. Greeting and seating worshipers.
  2. Helping make worshipers comfortable.

This ministry is comprised of three (3) ushers: 

  • Seniors
  • Men
  • Youth




MEDIA MINISTRY

The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that publish it (Psalm 68:11). The multimedia ministry serves as an effective tool for reaching potential members in the community as well as providing spiritual messages for those that are shut-in and unable to attend church on a regular basis. There is an individual donation to help defray the cost of reproduction.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY

The mission of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Hospitality Ministry is to spread unconditional love of Jesus Christ to our members and guest. It is our goal to make each person that enters our doors feel welcome and a part of our congregation.


We consider it to be an honor and a privilege to have you as our guest. Our open hands and hearts will make you feel welcome and very special in our midst.

Roman’s Chapter 15:7 says, “Accept one another just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praises to God.” No matter who you are or where you’ve been. You are welcome here!

SEASONED SAINTS MINISTRY

The mission is to encourage those in our fellowship who are 65 years of age and over. To promote spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth through a variety of wholesome activities that challenge and stimulate older adults, and to explore areas that will enhance a healthy and vital lifestyle that glorifies God.

PRAISE DANCE MINISTRY

The purpose of this ministry is to enhance the Worship Service through expressions in dance while using inspirational spiritual music. Praise Dance is provided for youth and adults.

MUSIC MINISTRY

The Music Ministry is dedicated to ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of song. This ministry enhances the worship service by providing inspirational singing of spiritual music. This ministry is comprised of four (4) choirs: 


  • Mass Choir
  • Ludie M. Hoffman Chorus (Women’s Chorus)
  • Male Chorus
  • A.H. Hoffman Choir (Youth Choir)

YOUTH MINISTRY

The purpose of this ministry is to promote, guide, and encourage Christ-like living of children and youth of SMBC. The children/youth participate in Children’s Worship, classroom Bible Study, and special group presentations.

HEALTH and WELLNESS MINISTRY

3 John 1:2 states “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers” (NASB)


The purpose of this ministry is to heighten the awareness of the church community regarding important health issues by providing wellness education, resource materials and services. The Health and Wellness Ministry focuses on a broad scope of health areas including:


  • General health awareness
  • Exercise and fitness classes
  • Stress reduction programs
  • Nutrition education
